In my travels on the back roads doing genealogy research, I’ve seen hundreds of remnants of times gone by. These iconic symbols of "Americana" inspired me to create this blog. By documenting them, I'll remember and maybe you'll find something interesting to hunt down next time you are in one of these areas!
WHO AM I
Most importantly I am a Mom and Grandma. I've worn many different hats over the years, but my favorites are "Mom" and "Grandma". I have three beautiful children, who had picked three amazing people to share their lives with so I am blessed to be a mother of six. And, so far..... the grandmother of three. These three beauties are the absolute light of my life!
In my free time, I enjoy documenting our family's genealogy. Sometimes, doing this affords me the opportunity to spend time in another of my favorite pass times, travel. It is in my travels that I have seen so many interesting and unique things that inspired me to create this site.
