Abandoned building in a near Ghost Town, Newkirk New Mexico

This building from 1910 was originally a gas station and store, then the post office and a bus stop. An early alignment brought Route 66 through town, following the "Ozark Trail" in 1926 which created a little business and activity in the small town, but all is mostly gone now.
