The Cadillac Ranch was the creation of "The Ant Farm", a group of hippie artists from San Francisco, who partnered with Texas billionaire Stanley Marsh 3 to create an eye catching piece of public art. in 1974, ten Cadillacs were driven into Marsh's field and buried nose down from a 1949 Club Sedan to a 1963 Sedan de Ville. You can bring your own spray paint and add your mark to the vehicles. It was a pretty cool sight to see, but we only admired from afar. There were plenty of people making the trek across the field to get a closer look or add some paint. The Cadillacs can be seen off of Route 66 west of Amarillo, TX
