We saw a few of these signs along Route 66 and even though it isn't neon, this somewhat creepy looking guy, who may or may not be wearing pants, does catch the eye. The chain was started by a WWII Navy veteran in 1952. It is only in the southwest and the newer locations no longer have this great iconic sign. You can see this one (and at least one other) on Central Avenue SE in Albuquerque, NM
