Coming up the road, I thought I could see elk up on the rocks above the road. As we got closer, I realized they were part of the draw for the Chief Yellowhorse Trading Post and other shops. In 1960, after his time serving as a Navy Airman-Navigator, Juan "Chief" Yellowhorse bought the Miller Trading Post and changed the name. Chief Yellowhorse was a Navajo Indian who was born in 1930 and died in 1999. Many of the Yellowhorse family operate businesses on the state line strip. The Trading post is on Grant Road in Lupton, AZ
