So glad we got to see this sign before it was sold to a collector shortly after we saw it. After going to the trouble of restoring it as part of a Route 66 Neon Sign Restoration project in 2003, I wish they would have just left it on Route 66 for everyone to enjoy. The cafe opened in 1937 and the sign was added in 1958. The cafe closed in 2011. The sign did stand on East Santa Fe Avenue in Grants, NM
