I was so excited to see this place. I love all of the references to real places that are in the movie Cars and this place and it's owners were both well represented in the movie. "Flo's Diner" was inspired by this restaurant and it's owner, Stanley Gallegos, was the inspiration for "Stanley", the founder of Radiator Springs. John Lasseter spent time in the diner speaking with Stanley and his wife Alice and gained inspiration for both the Toy Story and Cars Pixar movies. The diner recently closed but had been in operation since 1943 and under the 3rd generation of the same family. You can still see the iconic pink building and mural on Hopi Dr in Holbrook, AZ
