At the site of the former Paul Bunyan Cafe, later named Lumberjack Cafe, stands a slightly smaller rendition of the cafe's original Paul Bunyan Giant. Installed around 1962, the original figure was the first of the 20 foot tall giant fiberglass statues which came to be known as "Muffler Men" as many businesses had swapped out the Bunyan Axe with mufflers. The original Bunyan Giant is now at nearby Northern AZ University in honor of their Lumberjack sports teams.
