My photo doesn't do this gigantic sign justice. It is actually 40 foot tall and 60 foot wide. It's been standing on top of this building for years, replacing an Old Route 66 era giant Standard Red Crown sign from 1926. A service station is still open at this location over 90 years later. They claim it is the largest Amoco sign in the world, but what I thought was cool is even though Amoco was re-branded as BP in 1998, they left this iconic Amoco sign standing. It is hard to miss, but it is located at Clayton and McCausland in St Louis, MO
