Osterman's Shell Station, Peach Springs Arizona

info543130

This historic Shell station and grocery was built around 1930. The building has such a great vintage look which is said to be built to resemble the El Alamo mission in San Antonio Texas. The Hualapai Indians own the property and have received a grant to restore it. I hope they decide to restore and preserve this great piece of history. Current google maps images show the canopy in pretty bad shape, but there is a portable toilet out front so maybe they are working on it? You can see the remains of the station and store on Historic Route 66 in Peach Springs, AZ
