This 3/4 mile long bridge, built in 1933, is the longest bridge on Route 66. It uses 38 "pony" (small) trusses to cross the South Canadian River. The bridge's official name is "William H. Murray Bridge" but it is known simply as the "Pony Bridge". It sort of looks like it goes on forever when you start out across it! Crossing this bridge is a very unique experience that I recommend if you are on Route 66 near Bridgeport, OK
