The only rain we saw on the whole ride from Chicago to Santa Monica was on the 2nd day of our Route 66 trip. It only rained heavily for 10 or 15 minutes so we stopped in St Claire to wait it out and don our stylish rain gear. It was still drizzling a little when we headed out and we almost missed these hilarious water towers. I'm not sure we would have seen them at all if we hadn't stopped. We had a good laugh which helped us forget about our slightly soggy clothes for a few minutes! You can see the water towers from Route 66, but they are located on Industrial Park Drive in St Claire, MO
