Now the Winslow Visitor Center, this building was originally the Hubbell Trading Post. Lorenzo Hubbell began trading with the Navajo in 1878 and opened the store in the early 1920's. If you look closely, you can read Navajo Rugs Lorenzo Hubbell Co. Trading Post. It also says Hubbell General Store Baskets Pottery. Not sure which sign was there first but very cool to still be able to read them. You can see this great old building on West 2nd St in Winslow, AZ
