Sprague's Super Service Station, Normal Illinois

Built in 1931 by William Sprague, this service station sold Cities Service gas. The three gas pumps out front are the only Cities Service pumps I've ever seen. In 1941, Route 66 traffic was re-routed to "Veteran's Parkway" but this station is located on the early Route 66 alignment through Bloomington/Normal on Pine Street in Normal, IL
