Right in the middle of downtown Winslow is a park inspired by "The Eagles" classic song "Take It Easy". There is, of course, a sculpture of an acoustic guitar toting man leaning on a lamp post below a sign that reads "Standin' On The Corner". There is also a mural on a wall behind him that depicts an eagle in the window and a girl in a flatbed ford. The wall mural isn't actually on the side of a building anymore. When it was first created it was painted on the side of the JC Penny building. The building was later destroyed in a fire but the city saved the outside wall and mural. It now stands independently. Very cool way to preserve this beautiful tribute to the song and town. My travel buddy is a huge Eagle's fan so he had to be in the picture. You'll find the park on the corner of Kingsley and West 2nd Streets in Winslow, AZ
