The Coronado Court Motel opened in the 1930's and had a cool neon sign. Sadly, it was replaced by the Trading Post sign in the 1970's after the motel had closed and was converted into a trading post and antique shop. The guest rooms were still there on the east side of the former motel office building in the photo. There were a lot of vintage signs, an antique tow truck and other antiques scattered around too. It didn't appear to be open or we would have stopped. You can find the trading post on the west end of Route 66 in Tucumcari, NM
