Originally the location of the Pig Hip Restaurant, home of the "Pig Hip Sandwich", and then a museum about the Pig Hip and Route 66. This sign and a few other Pig Hip shrines, including a memorial stone and plaque, are all that remain. What made our Route 66 trip so magical and memorable are remnants, like this sign, that are still in place long after the places and attractions that thrived during the heyday of the Mother Road are gone.
