This was a bit out of the way on the 1926-1930 alignment of Route 66 but so worth the trip. A lot of twisting, turning, rough and bumpy concrete roads but we took our time and enjoyed the old 1920's roads. Along the way are some well preserved wild turkey tracks. Way back when, some turkeys must have been out for an evening stroll that took them through the freshly poured concrete for Route 66. The tracks are on Donaldson Road in Nilwood, IL
